Known for his work around the representation of bulls and horses, the production of Palolo Bunster is characterized by the use of a wire or iron structure to mark the contour
of its volumes and contain the mud or stones, which are joined with molten metals,
obtaining firmness and permanence. The works of this self-taught sculptor have in common an aspect archaic and evidence of direct modeling on soft materials.
Palolo was born in Santiago on July 1, 1956. He studied painting between 1971 and 1975 in the workshop of Fred Jarvis. Between 1976 and 1977 he studied painting and drawing at the Viña del Mar School of Art and at the School of Art of the Catholic University of Santiago. Between 1978 and 1980 he studied Theater Design at the University of Chile, carrying out his professional practice in 1984.
From 1981 to 1983 he lived in Manhattan, New York, where he experimented with new techniques.

He exhibited his works in several cities, mainly In New York.
He has participated as an artist and organizer of important meetings in Bolivia during the decades of 1980 and 1990, including the Art Industry Meetings and the Steel Sculpture Workshops.
He has participated in group shows in China, France, Greece, the United States, Spain and Germany.

Since 2004 he has participated in art fairs such as the Shanghai Art Fair, China; Sibase in Seoul, Korea; Art London, UK; Toronto Art Fair, Canada; Sofa Chicago and Armony New York, United States.
